Collage as Inspiration

I was doing a lot of collage some years ago and really love the imagery. This was one of my first.  I'm thinking it may make an interesting painting, although i am worried about the busy-ness.   I just need to get to the studio and give it a try.  will post the results later.

American Samoa Icon.  photo taken from the back of a pick up truck at aproximately 35 miles per hour.  I was lucky to get it.  no enhancements.  pure samoa.

Wailua Blossom

This is a photograph taken earlier this year.  I saw this monstera bloom while taking an outdoor shower and was able to coerce a friend to take the shot.  worked on cropped and played with the color and texture.  Thinking about a painting.  

Nude and Wine

Current piece i'm working on;  part of series.  Acrylics on Canvas aproximately 6'x2'. A fellow painter said the champagne glass looks like a vibrator.  clearly she didn't get it.  Still working on it. May add a background to try to add some depth and am contemplating working on the glass some more.  but i kind of like it how it is.
