Maui Art Quilters Annual Postcard 2010

A group of creative ladies collaborated on their first annual postcards.  Each quilter made a wall hanging aproximately 6x36 inches..The result:  a bold and beautiful display of florals.  Too bad all the extra efforts with glittler and frills don't read as well I'd like them too.  It was a challenge photographing fabric.
I need to spend more time trying some other lighting ideas.  There is so much detail missing.

Jumping Over Rainbows

Jonah Wolf loves adventuring around Maui - and katarina loves following him around, camera in hand, capturing moments like this. We were at La Peruse Bay in the early morning, had spotted a herd of goats earlier, and were having a few last moments with our favorite blow hole, Pounding Pinky. Pinky was sharing a joyous morning and mother nature blessed us all with rainbow. Jonah, dancing in his slippers on the lava rock, had no idea he was at that moment, my pot of gold.

Guest Artist at the Studio - Jonah Wolf

After hours spent creating "Dinasaur Rumba" - Jonah's Digital Gallery of Dinasaur Doings here on Maui, we decided to hit the studio for some hands on creating. I think we may have an artist in the making. It is surprising what the smallest amount of encouragement and little bits of influence can bring out in a child. Five year old Jonah lasted almost two hours absorbed completely in his painting. I love this kid!
